Real results using simple strategies
What Makes Us Different?
We know that personal training is an effective model for getting life changing results - it’s also very expensive to keep going for the long term.
When compared to classes and bootcamps of 20 - 30 people stuffed in a room with minimal equipment. There is the great opportunity to hide at the back of the class, just to make up the numbers. To top that off you'll get limited to no support outside of the sessions leading to the same thing… You giving up!
A Better Approach
At SM Athletic Personal Training we think we have hit the nail on the head where we can offer all the benefits of personal training without the high price tag or sacrificing quality
We educate our clients on building and maintaining foundations that get results. Using our F4 framework, coaching you on Focus, Food and Fitness is at the heart of what we do.
You will receive the support and accountability you need to create habits that help you reach your goals and make it stick.
A Client Only Gym
Intimidation is quite often a barrier to joining a gym or even approaching a personal trainer. For some that fear is such a challenge, you find yourself completely derailed. before you know it a few years have passed by.
We set up SM Athletic Personal Training as a unique environment with Zero intimidation.
All the benefits and equipment of a top class facility, together with the expertise of top class trainers but without the intimidating factors that come with a membership gym. Everyone here is a client and most likely was in your shoes weeks or months before you.
Why Small Group Personal Training Works
A great atmosphere while keeping that personal touch
The idea of having a personal trainer and that one to one attention might seem great, but in reality you don’t need someone standing on your shoulder.
You need direction, motivation and a plan to execute. Being in a small group of no more than 6 gives you enough personal attention while still having your own personal programme but with that fun and exciting dynamic you only get from being around a group of people. Done right it can knock the spots off 1-2-1 personal training.
It’s also a more flexible option in terms of training times, a lot lighter on the wallet and allows you to make the most of other parts of your membership here like our conditioning classes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Aside from the obvious, getting stronger, fitter and losing weight, who else actually needs a trainer? If you find yourself struggling to get any real level of consistency with exercise and nutrition. Completely new to weight loss and training. Or if you already know some bits about training but would like additional structure and guidance about how to progress further we’ve got your back and our small group personal training programme might be right for you.
That really depends, if you are a complete beginner you need guidance on how to train correctly, safely and avoid injury. A huge percentage of people who join a gym end up giving it up within 90 days, mostly due to a lack of results. Having a personal trainer to coach you in the right direction could mean the difference in you getting results and enjoying the process or hating it and throwing in the towel… Again.
If you have ever suffered an injury in or out of the gym, having a personal trainer can help rehabilitate you and get your life back on the right track again.
Quick question, how has that worked out for you so far? You are reading this FAQ section for a reason. For a very small population of people, self motivation to train regularly, keep fit, eat well and maintain a healthy weight seems like a breeze, at least that’s how it looks from the outside.
For the rest of us mere mortals however, extra structure and accountability to someone other than ourselves. Having that guidance and support, knowing we are doing the right things and ticking the right boxes to get results is what is needed.
Of course! Personal training isn’t a magic pill that once taken equals results, however it’s about staying consistent and doing the right things with training and nutrition for long enough to see some level of results. Once we get in motion with some level of consistency it becomes a lot easier to keep going.
Yes, although weight loss is primarily driven by a calorie deficit, regular training will burn additional calories and improve your mindset to stick with the nutrition strategy we sit down and set together. All our clients get exclusive access to our in house tracking and nutrition system which will allow you to plan ahead and keep on track with the programme.
